Suffering from Lyme Disease
This commercial captures in just thirty seconds what life is like for someone suffering from Chronic Lyme Disease. Written, produced, and directed by Jaap Ruurd Feitsma, it was created for his girlfriend and the many others who endure the devastating effects of the disease.
The ad is part of the broader “Lyme is Hell” awareness campaign, which launched with a conference in the Netherlands. The campaign aims to give a voice to Lyme patients worldwide and raise awareness of their daily struggles.
The English version of the commercial—originally aired in the Netherlands—delivers a powerful message: “Lyme does not kill you right away, but it does take your life.”
