A New Year, New You To Keep A Clean Bill of Health in 2020

So, you survived 2019—including the holidays! Now a new year and a new decade offer a fresh start. Don’t overcomplicate your resolutions. Here are simple steps you can take to stay healthy, energized, and full of nutrients.

Step 1: Are You Getting Enough Essential Vitamins?

If you’re not taking a multivitamin or specific supplements, now is the time. Many people are low in magnesium, Vitamin D, K, B12, and iron—especially women. Consider blood tests to identify deficiencies and explore options like gummies or liquid vitamins if you dislike pills.

Step 2: Water, Water, Everywhere (and Plenty to Drink!)

Replace sugary drinks with water to reduce sugar and caffeine intake. Add fruit or vitamin C powder for flavor. Want bubbles? Try a SodaStream to make your own sparkling water.

Step 3: Choose Whole Grains, Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, and Organic

Swap white bread or pasta with organic whole grain or gluten-free options. Try lentil or chickpea pasta for a nutritious twist.

Step 4: Don’t Supersize It!

Fast food is okay occasionally—but stick to smaller portions. Avoid giant meals that overload your system.

Step 5: Avoid “Stuffed, Breaded, or Sauced” Dishes

These terms usually mean added fats and sugars. Choose grilled or steamed meals. If you want sauce, ask for it on the side.

Step 6: Keep Colds and Infections at Bay

Stay healthy by:

  • Washing hands often

  • Using hand sanitizer

  • Eating fiber

  • Sleeping well

  • Staying hydrated

Add Allicin (Garlic Extract) to Your Diet:

Allicin fights infections and supports the immune system, balances blood sugar, reduces cholesterol, and even shows anti-cancer potential. It boosts antioxidants like Vitamin C and CoQ10, helps manage fat metabolism, blood pressure, and digestive health.

Step 7: Get Moving!

Be active wherever you can—walk more, do squats during chores, or play with your kids. Any movement helps.

Step 8: Make Time for Yourself

Relaxation is vital. Whether it’s a hobby, meditation, or doing nothing, schedule time for yourself. You deserve it.
